The Textbook
First published in 1996, the 9th edition of the Singapore Business Law textbook was released in mid-2021. A preferred text among students because of its readability, clarity and reasonable cost, Singapore Business Law is the prescribed text for business law courses in a number of Singapore universities and other degree and diploma programs. The 9th edition of Singapore Business Law is edited by a team comprising Dr Benny Tabalujan (formerly from Nanyang Business School and now with the University of Melbourne), Valerie Du-Toit Low (Nanyang Business School), Julie Huan (NUS Business School), Lam Cheng Meng (SUSS), and Alvin See (SMU).

Benny was the sole author of the first two editions of Singapore Business Law and continues to be the lead editor of this popular textbook - now in its 7th edition (2015). He was previously an award-winning associate professor of business law at the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Currently, he’s a visiting fellow (adjunct associate professor) at the Melbourne Business School and Melbourne Law School in the University of Melbourne. His other books include: The Executive’s Guide to Business & the Law (co-author); Indonesian Company Law – A Translation & Commentary; and Leadership and Management Challenges of In-house Legal Counsel (editor). Benny also authored our Study Guides.
